CERI BROWN
Ceri was raised by the beach in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. Ceri studied Theology at university to give her a deeper understanding of The Bible. After university she pursued her passion of working with vulnerable women. Ceri worked with sex workers; visiting local brothels and strip bars alongside doing Bible studies and teaching the women to bake. At 23 Ceri was diagnosed with cancer and begun a long road of treatment in London. In February 2019, Ceri received the news that her cancer was terminal and she had months to live. With this news, she moved back to Bournemouth where she grew up.
She spent her last years on Earth exploring what it really means to choose joy in all stages of life, despite the circumstances that we face. Ceri wrote "Life can be so tough but we can be content in the knowledge that one day we will see Christ face to face." Ceri is now in Heaven with Christ and her exhortation to Choose Joy is now more inspiring than ever as we come to know Jesus' resurrection power.
